Ik doe onderzoek naar de invloed van sociale media (met name Twitter) op de publieke ruimte. Een praktijkonderzoek onder journalisten en politici is daarom noodzakelijk.

Omdat ik u volg op Twitter en u werkzaam bent als journalist of in de politiek, heb ik u de link naar deze pagina gestuurd. Ik wil u vriendelijk vragen onderstaande vragen te beantwoorden.

Het zou veel voor me betekenen als u even de tijd neemt de vragen te beantwoorden en ik wil u bij voorbaat hartelijk danken. U kunt reageren in een reactie onderaan deze blog of door een e-mail te sturen naar coertvanmourik [at] hotmail [dot] com

1. Als u geen journalist bent, kunt u dan uw functie kort omschrijven? Als u geen journalist bent, kunt u de vragen 2, 3 en 4 overslaan.
2. Maakt u beroepsmatig gebruik van Twitter (dus met betrekking tot uw journalistieke werkzaamheden), alleen privé of een combinatie van beide?
3. Als u beroepsmatig gebruikmaakt van Twitter: hoe ondersteunt Twitter uw journalistieke werkzaamheden?
4. Is uw werk als journalist veranderd door de opkomst van Web 2.0 (onder meer sociale media/user generated content)? Zo ja: op welke manier?
5. In hoeverre hebben de opkomst van Web 2.0 (met name sociale media) en de daarmee samenhangende vermenging van de publieke en private sfeer de publieke ruimte beïnvloed en/of veranderd?
6. Bent u het eens met de stelling dat Web 2.0 de publieke ruimte blijvend heeft veranderd (bijvoorbeeld in de zin dat er minder onderscheid is tussen publieke en private sferen dan voorheen)? Geef alstublieft aan waarom u het wel of niet eens bent met de stelling.

I am researching the influence that social media (especially Twitter) have on the public sphere. While doing this, it turned out to be necessary to conduct a small inquiry among journalists and politicians.

1. If you are not a journalist, would you please point out what your function is? If you are not a journalist, you can skip the questions 2, 3 and 4.
2. Do you use Twitter professionally (as a journalist), is it only for private use, or a combination of both?
3. If you use Twitter professionally: how does Twitter support your work as a journalist?
4. Did the rise of Web 2.0 (including social media/user generated content) change your work as a journalist? If yes: in what way?
5. To which extend has Web 2.0 (especially social media and the mingling of public and private sphere that comes with it) influenced the public sphere?
6. Do you agree with the statement that Web 2.0 has permanently changed the public sphere (for instance in the sense that private and public spheres are less separated than before)? Please argue why you agree or disagree.
